You know it's summer when the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse raises its curtain and the orchestra begins to play! The 2010 season begins with " The Drowsy Chaperone ", June 9-June 30; followed by "Promises, Promises", July 7-July 28; "Meet Me in St. Louis", August 4-August 25; "Man of La Mancha", September 1-September 18; and special productions "Ring of Fire", September 22-October 9; and "Church Basement Ladies 2, A Second Helping", October 13-October 30. It really feels like "Broadway in the Finger Lakes" at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse.

Summer is the season that some of our Finger Lakes mansions open their splendid gardens to the public. William H. Seward's home in Auburn displays the lifetime collections and gardens of the former New York State Governor and Secretary of State under Presidents Lincoln and Johnson. Seward is best known for his work to purchase Alaska, then known as "Seward's Folly." Every year the Seward House hosts a 'Garden Party' in July complete with 'living history' players in period costume.

Charming villages of Aurora and Fair Haven.

Food So Fresh It Almost Talks Back

Foodies will delight in the fresh produce here in the Finger Lakes! Our restaurants get the pick of fruits and vegetables grown at nearby farms: tomatoes still warm from the garden, sweet strawberries, corn so good you can skip the salt and butter -- and much more. Our restaurants and farm markets update these seasonal delights daily depending on what's ripe. Click here for more info.
