The Cayuga County Office of Tourism Announces 2023 Annual Meeting Awards
May 23, 2023 – Auburn, NY: The Cayuga County Tourism Office is very excited to announce the recipients of the 2023 Annual Meeting Awards. The tourism office will recognize the awardees during their Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 6 held being held at Prison City North in Auburn.
This year’s awardees have come together to create a single, beautiful public art piece. The Harriet Tubman Mural on Genesee St. The partnerships and effort to recognize Harriet Tubman and her life in Auburn is of incredible importance and we would like to recognize the common goal and the individual strengths that produced a powerful partnership.
The award recognitions are going to:
- Arthur Hutchinson – Artwork and Creative Direction
- Harriet Tubman Boosters – Fundraising and Project Inspiration
- Kyle family – Installation Space & Lighting
- A&M Graphics – Printing and installation
The tourism office will also be providing a special recognition to a corner stone eatery for our tourists and residents and a dedication of the mayor’s office.
- New Hope Mills’ is celebrating their bicentennial. We recognize this incredible (so much more than) restaurant that has been feeding our community and honoring their family legacy of quality and community for 200 years.
- Mayor Quill’s special recognition and thanks is in honor of his continuous and dedicated support of the tourism industry throughout his tenure.
The Cayuga County Office of Tourism Awards recognizes local individuals and/or business who have made extraordinary contributions to promote tourism in Cayuga County. Claire Dunlap, Marketing Manager at the Tourism Office says “The annual awards are a great reminder of how partnerships and tourism come together to highlight the very best our destination has to offer. It’s a chance to recognize the hard work that everyone in this industry puts in every day.” This year’s winners are inspirational leaders in our community and embody the core values of DEI, Sustainability, and community-mindedness.
